Cooking fires more likely on Thanksgiving



According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), cooking fires are more likely on Thanksgiving than any other day. In 2005, cooking fires were involved in roughly 1,300 home structure fires on Thanksgiving – almost three times the daily average. Most of these fires start because cooking has been left unattended.
